Noel Gallagher to have major surgery after shock diagnosis

Noel Gallagher is set to undergo a knee replacement due to arthritis.

The Oasis legend, 57, is scheduled for an operation later this year as he follows in his estranged brother’s footsteps after Liam, 51, underwent hip surgery last year. Despite both brothers, famous for their Oasis hits like ‘Roll With It’ and ‘Morning Glory’, suffering from similar issues, they remain estranged.

Lifting the lid on Noel’s crippling health condition, a source revealed that the singer is dreading the operation, but even worse, he’s dreading the recovery due to the fact he doesn’t like being sat too still for too long.

“Noel isn’t happy at all about the fact he needs this knee surgery. It’s a sign he’s getting on and he isn’t very good at being laid up – unless there is football on the telly.

“Liam had to have his hips done after struggling and now Noel is going down the same path. His little brother will no doubt be getting a laugh out of him having the same problems as him. Noel will bounce back though. It’s a minor op and it won’t keep him down.”
