A 12-year-old boy from the UK has died after being thrown from a car that crashed off a motorway in Belgium, local authorities have reported.
The boy was one of six people travelling in a British-registered BMW X5 when it lost control while heading towards the French border.
He was a pupil at an independent Orthodox Jewish school in north London and was due to celebrate his bar mitzvah in two weeks, according to The Jewish Chronicle. The other passengers in the vehicle were reportedly his parents and three siblings.
