Coleen Nolan’s Loose Women co-stars learned of her sister Linda’s passing during Wednesday’s show, following a 20-year battle with breast cancer. Linda’s death was announced in a statement released by her agent, Dermot McNamara, who confirmed that she had passed away on Wednesday morning after suffering from double pneumonia.
Linda, aged 65, rose to fame as a member of the girl group The Nolan Sisters, performing alongside her siblings. After leaving the band, she built a successful career in stage musicals.
The news of her passing emerged while Loose Women was on air, with Christine Lampard informing viewers and reading out the statement during the programme.
Christine was joined on Wednesday’s panel by Nadia Sawalha, Myleene Klass, and Kelly Brook, who shared their memories of the late star. Linda had often appeared on the ITV show alongside her younger sister Coleen, who was last on the panel on 7 January.
