BBC Dragons’ Den star found dead

A Dragons’ Den star was found dead in a woodland area, an inquest has heard.

The court heard that businessman Graeme Turner, 53, was discovered dead on 1 October in Pwllheli, in the heart of North Wales. The entrepreneur appeared on the BBC show back in 2010 when he pitched his children’s customisable wallpaper kit to investors.

His wallpaper kit allowed parents to transform their children’s rooms into their favourite football stadium. The graphic designer requested a sum of £50,000 for five per cent of his company, but the judges decided to pass on the opportunity.

Despite the Dragons turning down his offer, he continued with his business without their financial backing. Coroner Kate Robertson delivered a verdict of death by suicide during the hearing on Monday (20 January), following his funeral, which took place on 16 January.

His son shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, writing: “I have just lost the best, strongest, kindest, most loyal, courageous dad I have ever had and known, he was the godfather the inspiration in my life. I am devastated and that is an understatement.”
