Horror for EasyJet passengers after accident at major airport

Brits travelling to Europe have faced travel disruption after a lorry crashed into a plane at a busy airport. The EasyJet aircraft was struck at Orly Airport in Paris, causing delays for passengers on Monday.

Shocking images showed the aftermath of the crash, with the windscreen mirror of the truck shattered and covered in broken glass.

Fortunately, the incident occurred during a night stop, meaning no passengers were on board.

A spokesperson for the airline said: “easyJet can confirm that an airport vehicle struck an aircraft at Paris Orly airport while it was parked overnight and no passengers were onboard. “The aircraft will undergo the required inspections and repairs in line with manufacturer instructions.”
