BREAKING: BBC legend and BAFTA winner dies

BBC star Lee Montague has died at the age of 97. The highly respected actor and BAFTA winner was known for roles in various films, including The Camp on Blood Island (1958) and the action flick The Silent Enemy (1959). More recently, he appeared in Lady Jane (1986) with Helena Bonham Carter and Jekyll & Hyde (ABC, 1989-1990).

Tributes are already being paid to Lee, with Monty Python star Michael Palin leading with an emotional statement, “Very sad to hear that I shall not see Lee again. He was such good company, wise, experienced, empathetic, funny. It was always a pleasure to share a stage with him.”
