British TV star ‘rushed to doctors after terrifying accident on Netflix set’

Steph McGovern was reportedly rushed to medics after a terrifying accident during filming for Netflix’s new reality series, Celebrity Bear Hunt. The presenter, 42, is being put through her paces on the action-packed programme, which sees a group of celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle where they become ‘prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators’ – Bear Grylls.

Hosted by former This Morning star Holly Willoughby, the show features the likes of Lottie Moss, Boris Becker, Mel B, and Shirley Ballas taking part in brutal tasks. However, one challenge appeared to go wrong when Steph reportedly required medical attention after swinging face-first into a cliff.

According to The Sun, the former Steph’s Packed Lunch host almost broke her nose, sparking fears she had suffered a slight concussion. It is claimed she was also covered in bruises afterwards and struggled to walk but was able to continue with the reality show after 24 hours.

A source said: ‘Not only was it terrifying for Steph, but for everyone watching – cast, crew and Holly included.

‘Holly was visibly shaken and close to tears, and at one point could be seen covering her face with her hands.’ It is said there was a chance Steph may have had to leave on medical grounds, but she was monitored for the next 24 hours.
