Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s killer refuses to face judge as he’s jailed for at least 42 years

The gunman who shot and killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel as she called out to her mum in her own home has been sentenced to life in prison.

Thomas Cashman, 34, was convicted of the little girl’s murder last week, following a three-week trial which focused attention on the key details of a crime which appalled the nation.

Trial judge Mrs Justice Yip said a whole-life order was not required for the case, but set the minimum term he must serve at 42 years.
