Three people have died after a fire tore through a house in Northamptonshire. The blaze was reported in Rushton, near Kettering, at 10:30 pm last night.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the three individuals were confirmed to have died at the scene. Three police officers were also taken to hospital after inhaling smoke.
Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the cause of the fire.
A neighbour told the Northamptonshire Telegraph: “It’s absolutely shocking. My lad said it was on fire. There was a man who had tried to get in who was outside. It was just an inferno. “There were ambulance, police and fire. I don’t know the people who live there but all we can do is hope and pray.”
