Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann finally gets DNA test results

The young Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann is not the missing Brit, DNA results have shown.

Julia Wendell, who also goes by the names of Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt, made headlines after saying she could be Madeleine thanks to similarities in their appearance.

Madeleine disappeared in 2007 at the age of three while on holiday with her family in Portugal. Detectives have since spent millions trying to figure out what happened to the little girl.

Julia took a DNA test to find out more about her identity and the results have finally come back after weeks of waiting.

Her DNA test results have now confirmed that she is not the missing girl, instead showing that she is from Poland, with some Lithuanian and Romanian heritage.
